Teaching in Korea offers incredible benefits, making the ESL jobs attractive to university grads looking to teach abroad. Most schools offer similar employment packages for English teaching positions, however due diligence is necessary. It is important for a teacher to carefully review the contract offered for their teaching job. Pegasus is happy to answer any questions your may have on teaching ESL, the specific teacher job, and anything regarding teaching in Korea. Our staff have all previously been English teachers, so they understand what it's like teaching abroad. They can offer personal experience about what to expect as an English teacher and expectations about teaching in Korea. We spend a lot of time focusing on providing quality schools to insure that the English teaching jobs we offer are excellent. Although these are contract jobs, we do check in with our schools regularly to make sure that the director and our English teachers are happy.

What is Severance Pay?

If the teacher decides to sign on and extend his/her contract with their ESL teacher placement, the bonus shall be paid out at the end of the new contract along with the bonus for the second year. Teachers may be given the option to extend their contracts working abroad beyond one year. All Korean schools have severance packages.
